Former Miss Universe Justine Pasek, will be the guest of honor at PanaExpo 2008 from May 2 to May 4 at the Toronto Congress Centre. She will be greeting visitors, signing autographs, posing for photographs and speaking about the excitement about her native Panama. “I’m happy to go to Toronto and let people know about Panama and to introduce them to all of the great things (Panama) has to offer,” says Ms. Pasek.
“(Panama’s) fun, it’s warm, it’s safe. I think the more people who know about it the more they would want to come see and visit and perhaps retire there.”
The former Miss Universe has been a tireless ambassador for combating AIDS and advancing the role of women in science. She has seen her native country grow and she shares the excitement.
“What I really like about the situation in Panama is that I’ve met people there who have been visiting for a vacation and have decided to stay - people who retire or who decide to start a new life there. I think it speaks highly of Panama,” says the former Miss Universe.
