Miss America 2007 Arrives in Oklahoma for Homecoming

Miss America 2007 Lauren Nelson arrived in Oklahoma on Wednesday to begin her weeklong Homecoming celebration. The festivities began the moment Lauren arrived, as she was greeted by friends, family and fans at the Tulsa International Airport.
Friday night, Lauren will attend the Miss America Homecoming Gala at the Cascia Hall Performing Arts Center in Tulsa. The Gala will be attended by 2006 State Titleholders and Former Miss Americas.
On Saturday, Lauren will be honored at "Lawton Loves Lauren", a homecoming celebration dinner that will be held in her hometown of Lawton at the Fort Sill Patriot Club.
Lauren will also be conducting media interviews, attending a photo shoot and spending time with family, friends and supporters while she is in Oklahoma.
"I have been counting the days until Homecoming. I am so excited to be home and to see everyone that supported me as Miss Oklahoma and now as Miss America," said Lauren.
