Strongsville's Catan's does pageant wardrobe

Miss Ohio Melanie Murphy, a Brook Park native, will take a closetful of Strongsville with her when she heads to the Miss America pageant later this month.
Her entire competition wardrobe came from Catan Fashions, the behemoth of a bridal store on Pearl Road in Strongsville. She and her mom, Eva Murphy, at least had a quicker commute for fittings than Miss Indiana Betsy Uschkrat, who also used Catan's for the big event.
