Students Pledge Against Gun Violence - BLOG #4

What a whirlwind it's been!

I started my first school tour at Oak Lawn Community High School with the Student Pledge Against Gun Violence for the national day of concern.  In that same visit I was invited to be apart of the panel discussion during the 2008 Student Leadership Workshop.

What an amazing group of students! Congrats to the 89 students who were asked to be apart of the Leadership Conference.  Like your teachers said, you embody the Spartan Spirit and we know you will be great leaders.

I have a grand total of signed pledges of 430!  Thank you to all the participants of the Student Pledge Against Gun Violence.

My efforts for this stand against gun violence are due to the loss of my best friend, Michelle Zilligen who died at 18 years of age, a graduate of Queen of Peace High School in 2001, a victim of gun violence.
