 Congratulations to Jamie for earning a spot in the School of Musical Theater at the University of Oklahoma! Jamie auditioned along with 2500 other seniors nationwide for one of 12 slots in the freshman class! She was one of only seven girls in the country chosen for this honor.

Miss America's Outstanding Teen is now accepting applications for their mentoring program. Girls ages 6 to 12 are invited to join us in Orlando, Florida August 11- 15, 2009 for the Miss America's Outstanding Teen's Princess Program.
 o Team up with a Miss America's Outstanding Teen contestant and learn her secrets to success! Each Princess will be paired with a state representative!
o Enjoy the spotlight as you take the stage in a high energy production number during the national pageant! The Princesses will have their own production number during the national Preliminary Show. They will also participate in other on-stage events.
o Learn from a variety of experts and authors as we take you through courses designed just for you!
o Laugh, giggle and have fun during a PJ party and fashion show!
o Have lunch with Miss America and Miss America's Outstanding Teen! Get your picture taken with Miss America!

We're hoping you will stay connected to MAOT and join our sorority. Your yearly dues of $100 will cover your spot in the program book, highlights throughout the year and your online directory. Your membership dues will also sponsor the B. Don Magness Spirit of America Award.
One last request, this year the sorority is starting a new program. Let's share our support for your new state titleholder! Please write a best wishes card to your state titleholder. In Orlando this year each titleholder will receive her cards in a little gift bag from her state queen sisters at the welcome banquet. What a special moment for her to hear from each of you as she starts her week at MAOT.

Make sure you check out Carrie's Corner to receive tips on how you can successfully raise money for CMN. This year, the top 3 fundraisers at MAOT will receive money from the new Caitlin Brunell Community Service Scholarship. 1st place- $1,000
2nd place- $750
3rd place- $500 Carrie Wintle, Miss South Dakota's Outstanding Teen 2008 collected nearly $6000 for Children's Miracle Network and also sold the most ads in the 2008 MAOT Program Book. Also, check out her tips for selling ads. This year Grandesign will be awarding scholarships to those state representatives who sell the most ad space. Carrie will show you just how easy it is to make a difference!
