KATHMANDU, Aug. 16 (Xinhua) -- Members of an anti-Miss Nepal organization on Saturday discussed with the newly elected Prime Minister Prachanda over its campaign against beauty pageant scheduled to be held next month.

The delegation members from All Nepal Revolutionary Women's Association, which is affiliated to the Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist) (CPN-M) chaired by Prachanda, told the elected Prime Minister and their chairman that they were determined to disrupt the contest, and sought help from the government for their move.

CPN-M Chairman Prachanda was elected the first Prime Minister of Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal on Friday.

In response, Prachanda said he was positive about the demand of women activists and assured he would discuss the matter with leaders of other parties, according to local leading news website Nepalnews.com.

Association's leader Amrita Thapa Magar said that her organization had vowed to disrupt Miss Nepal contest.
