Melanie DeMure is a busy woman. In addition to preparing for the Mrs. International pageant, she took time to coach her teen girls volleyball team to a top finish in a west coast competition. Clipped from her journal:
"The Gold Cal Jrs VBC 16’s Team participated in the 4 day Gold Cal Finals Volleyball Tournament at Cal Expo. We had less than 5 weeks to put together a competitive team from 3 different and separate teams in order to be able to participate. I was absolutely amazed that even though our team was originally seeded 37th out of 85 teams we played a crossover match, positioned 13th in Gold Division and finish 2nd in the Silver(Sierra) Division. I am so proud of these young women and their ability to rise to the competition, bond as a team, play hard and wisely, and I am most humbly honored to be called “coach”. Way to go! Congratulations!"
Congratulations to Melanie and her team.
