UW student crowned new Miss Wyoming

It's not about the heels or the dress. Indeed, what Miss Wyoming Scholarship Pageant judge Joanne Girolami says she looks for in a contestant is someone who would exude the same self-confidence in a gunny sack as in a Versace gown.

Newly crowned Miss Wyoming, Jennifer McCafferty of Laramie, wasn't exactly in a thrift store special when she accepted the crown from Miss Wyoming 2006, Jenileigh Sawatzke. But during her victory walk down the runway at the WYO Theater in Sheridan Saturday night, she looked as comfortable as, say, Food Network's Paula Deen whipping up a batch of brownies on camera, with maybe a touch of Giada De Laurentiis glamour.
