Alliance teen named Miss Nebraska Outstanding Teen

Miss Nebraska’s Outstanding Teen for 2007, Kayla Batt, is all smiles as she receives the crown from Sharla Schreiber, the 2006 titleholder. Nine young women competed Saturday for the title. Batt is from Alliance and the daughter of Teri Francis and Curt Batt.

Kayla Batt, 17, will have something new to wear on her head when she returns to Alliance High School in the fall.

On Saturday, Batt, daughter of Teri Francis and Curt Batt, was chosen from nine Miss Nebraska’s Outstanding Teen contestants as the winner of the 2007 crown. She will travel to Orlando, Fla., in August to compete for the national title.
