Pageant has (Miss) Mass. appeal

About 58 young beauties from across the state converged on the Marriott in Quincy with their evening gowns and swimsuits yesterday - all hoping to be crowned Miss Massachusetts USA.
The competition consisted of three parts: evening gown, swimsuit and the interview. The winner of the pageant will go on to compete for the title of Miss USA and received a prize package that included $30,000 in cash.
The winner had not been announced by press time last night.
The pageant is organized by The Miss Universe Organization.
