NEW YORK, Nov. 12 (UPI) -- Former Miss USA Vanessa Minnillo says she learned the other side of beauty after wearing a fat suit for a TV series.
For her role as a correspondent on "Entertainment Tonight," the 25-year-old model wore a fat suit while traveling around New York to learn people's reactions to those with weight problems, the New York Post reported.
Whether she was being shoved on the subway or denied entry to a trendy club, Minnillo quickly learned that beauty plays an integral role in how many people treat you.
"At times, the discrimination against me in my ugly disguise was almost too much to take," said the current girlfriend of pop singer Nick Lachey.
The Post said that the project that covered the model in prosthetics and tacky clothing is part of a seven-part series that "Entertainment Tonight" is running through Thursday.
