Lakeview student to compete in Miss Georgia Teen USA pageant

Gibson from Ringgold, daughter of David and Karen Gibson and sister of Quinton, has been selected to participate in the 2007 Miss Georgia Teen USA pageant. The pageant will be Nov. 9-11 in Newnan. Shellie will compete as Miss Catoosa County and will compete in swimsuit, evening gown, and personal interview competitions. The pageant has two age divisions, and the winners will go on to represent our state in the 2007 Miss USA and Miss Teen USA pageant. Miss USA goes on to compete in the Miss Universe pageant. As seen on NBC, the Miss Teen USA, Miss USA and Miss Universe pageant system stresses good morals, physical fitness, communication skills, social awareness, and community involvement.
