Is Miss America 2009 Katie Stam the best choice to lead the patriotic 4th of July Parade (now in its 105th year) in Huntington Beach? In the parade, the buffed-body contestant who won the competition against 49 other women on the Las Vegas Strip competition this year will likely wear a gown or other attire, and probably won’t be in swimsuit, the costume of choice for the beaches of Surf City.
* Of course, there are many local people in our wonderful parade and it’s a tremendous task that you do. I was just thinking of having co-Grand Marshalls, who would “ride” side by side, in the same car, whatever. Maybe you already do that too. I see the need for a top celebrity but thought combining the best of both worlds might be good. Maybe you do that and I have just been too unobservant to notice. If so, my apologies. Keep up the good work!
