As they gear up for 2008 Miss America Live! on TLC on January 26, the 52 Miss America contestants - armed with forks and spatulas and donning aprons and their state sashes – gathered for a pancake breakfast in honor of Children’s Miracle Network, the national platform of the Miss America Organization.
The contestants raised awareness about IHOP’s National Pancake Day celebration, a nationwide fundraising effort that generates hundreds of thousands of dollars for Children’s Miracle Network programs at children’s hospitals throughout the United States. National Pancake Day will take place on February 12, 2008, when more than 1,300 IHOP restaurants nationwide will offer guests a free short stack of buttermilk pancakes in an effort to raise awareness and funds for Children’s Miracle Network and other local charities.
