That's really the only way to describe our Ruben Studdard Benefit Concert held last Saturday night. Presented by the Master's Inn - our home away from home - we were able to help send kids to camp this summer while enjoying an awesome event.
I've been to a lot of concerts, met a ton of celebrities, heard special musical guests at galas (including Ruben) before but there was something magical about this night.
As he took the stage, the crowd stayed on their feet and rocked out with him the entire night. It was such a pleasure to host the event and introduce Ruben, as I've had the privilege of getting to know him over the past year. The 'velvet teddy bear' persona dubbed to him throughout his American Idol run fully describes his humble personality as he signed autographs after the show for two hours.
But to really know Ruben, is to see a fiercely driven individual that uses his God-given talent to make a difference in the lives of others. This was without a doubt, all promotions aside, the best concert I've ever been to.
I can't wait to share the fantastic upcoming projects we've lined up with him. So stay tuned!

That past Saturday, Kristie Tobias competed in and won the Miss NC international Pageant! She also won overall fitness for all of the NC contestants. We are so proud of Kristie and all of the hard work she continually puts towards making her dreams a reality.
From Kristie, "Thank you so much for all of your wisdom and guidance. God always has the RIGHT plan for me and I am just so blessed and honored to be able to serve Him at this level!"
Congrats Kristie! You will be a wonderful titleholder!!
