Miss Alabama’s Outstanding Teen for 2010 was crowned on Sunday at Sylacauga High School. Scarlett Walker, a sophomore at Oak Mountain High School, wowed the judges with a jazzy Ballet en Pointe. The contestants competed in a personal interview with the judges, talent, fitness, and evening gown. With the title, Scarlett was awarded 4-year renewable full-tuition scholarships to her choice of Auburn University, the University of Alabama, Troy University, as well as a 1-year scholarship to Jacksonville State University. She also received other cash scholarships and prizes. Scarlett is the daughter of Mike and Angela Walker.
The Miss Alabama’s Outstanding Teen Pageant is part of the Miss America Organization.
