Miss America 2009 Katie Stam
was in Dallas last weekend
to kick of the holidays.
Katie
was a special guest
at the Capital One Adolphus
Children's Parade in Dallas.
The parade, which attracts a
crowd of over 350,000 in
downtown Dallas, officially
kicks off the holiday season
and is a fundraiser for the
Children's Medical Center.
Katie rode in the parade in
a lovely red Joseph Ribkoff
gown with Rheagan, a child
chosen from Children’s
Medical Center to accompany
Miss America.
Before the parade, she attended a parade party
at the Children's Medical Center, where she
visited with Dallas' most courageous young
fighters and helped them make crafts.
While in Dallas,
she met up with Miss Texas 2009 Kristen
Blair and the one and only Santa Claus!
