=LOS ANGELES, June 4 - CBS’s Emmy Award-winning THE PRICE IS RIGHT, with host Drew Carey, welcomes Miss America 2009, Katie Stam, Tuesday, June 9 (11:00 AM-12:00 Noon, ET; 10:00-11:00 AM, PT) on the CBS Television Network. Stam will present a showcase featuring trips to several different cities in the United States.
Stam, a communications major at the University of Indianapolis, is an aspiring news anchor who has embarked on a national media tour that focuses on promoting community service and involvement, especially to youths. Katie visits schools across the country to speak to students about the importance of getting involved in their communities. In addition to Katie’s personal platform message, she serves as the Goodwill Ambassador for the Children’s Miracle Network. Katie tours children’s hospitals across the country, meeting with children with life threatening illnesses, and continues to be inspired by these courageous young fighters.
