For Mariska Hargitay, star of Law and Order: SVU and Safe Horizon Board Member, it serves as a means for spreading awareness about a cause for which she cares deeply. Hargitay donned a temporary tattoo as part of Safe Horizon’s efforts to educate millions about the impact of domestic violence and abuse on women, children, and especially teens. The tattoo is a graphic treatment of the words, “NO DISRESPECT.” Being disrespected by a partner is a sign that a relationship may be abusive.“Wearing this tattoo will help raise awareness by starting conversations about the signs of domestic violence and abuse, especially the less obvious ones.” -- Mariska Hargitay
