Some may consider this event as not an important one but let's look at the facts: Miss Universe 2008 was broadcasted in 180 countries, 7,500 people in the audience and over 1 billion people watching the contest on television.
Among 80 contestants, Miss Universe became Dayana Sabrina Mendoza Moncada, representing Venezuela. It was the 57th Miss Universe contest and it was held at the Crown Convention Center (Diamond Bay Resort) in Nha Trang, Vietnam. The event took place on July 14, 2008 and the beautiful Miss Mendoza was crowed by Riyo Mori, Miss Universe 2007, representing Japan.
