The Miss International Pageant 2008 will take place on 08 November at the Venetian hotel in Macau. The 63 contestants from all over the world gathered at the venue to meet the press yesterday, taking part in a parade of national costumes. The ladies had previously spent several weeks at a training camp in Japan.
As TVB will be taking charge of the production of this year's show, it was announced that the final will be hosted by Eric Tsang (曾志偉), Carol Cheng (鄭裕玲) and Astrid Chan (陳芷菁) and guest performers will include Hacken Lee (李克勤), Priscilla Chan (陳慧嫻) and Miriam Yeung (楊千嬅).
Guests at the press conference included last year's winner Priscila Perales from Mexico and also TVB artistes Joe Ma (馬德鐘), Stephen Wong (黃長興) and Kenny Wong (黃德斌). Having lived in France for 20 years, Stephen was naturally drawn to Miss France and was spotted deep in conversation in her. Asked if he found Miss France or rumoured girlfriend Mandy Cho (曹敏莉) more beautiful, Stephen replied that they each have their own forms of beauty, but their personalities were more important.
