Washington's Largest Annual Parade Saturday, April 12, 2008
Kirsten will be among the celebrities to greet over 100,000 spectators. Loved by all ages, this parade is in its 96th year and celebrates the 3,000 Cherry Trees in full bloom that were a gift to the people of Washington from Tokyo in 1912.
Giant inflatable balloons, marching bands, and performers will burst down Constitution Avenue in an energy-filled spectacle of music and showmanship seen only once a year during the National Cherry Blossom Festival. Miss America 2008 Kirsten Haglund will be singing "Over the Rainbow".

Wednesday, April 23- The U.S. Army Reserves has answered the nation's call for 100 years and today Miss America 2008 Kirsten Haglund will answer the call when she joins this organization to mark a spectacular celebration in Washington, DC.
WHEW!!! my feet are achy, and i might be a little dehydrated, LOL, but we did it!!!! Today it rained out like crazy, but it seemed to be one of the best crowds of the weekend! We had a fantastic group of queens today, like everyday, they came in and showed off our clothing with style and grace and talked about the protection in the products. Everyone just loved them all!!

I had the pleasure of co-hosting the inaugural Miss Maryland Galaxy Pageants yesterday in Germantown, MD with Miss Maryland USA 2007, Michae Holloman. National titleholders, Miss Teen Galaxy, Miss Galaxy, Ms. Galaxy, and Mrs. Galaxy were also in attendance.
Agustina Quinteros, a 17 year-old, 1.75m tall beauty queen of La Pampa was crowned last Saturday as the new Miss Argentina 2008 at a beauty pageant held at Rio Hondo (Santiago del Estero) where she beated 24 of the most beautiful women of Argentina. Agustina will represent her country at the Miss World 2008 pageant in Kiev, Ukraine, next October.
