The celebration for Children's Miracle Network began in Orlando last week with a series of celebratory events marking the 25th anniversary of the organization. This annual celebration kicked off last Thursday with Miss America 2008 Kirsten Haglund meeting children from across the country who are champions in fighting life threatening illnesses and who have faced the most challenging health issues and have emerged as our heroes.
Kirsten embarked on many exciting events in Florida, including taking the kids to Disney's Epcot Center. On Friday night the Celebration Gala took place with Kirsten performing "Somewhere Over the Rainbow". The event was hosted by Glenn Beck and the audience witnessed the reunion of the Osmond Brothers, celebrating their 50 years in the entertainment business. The Osmonds were joined by 160 Osmonds on stage for the grand finale.
