Quinn named Cover Girl

Alyssa Quinn, daughter of Amy Quinn-Meier and Curt Quinn, was crowned National American Miss Wisconsin Junior Teen Cover Girl at the state pageant held July 8 at the Mariott West in Middleton. She received her official state crown, banner and trophy and an invitation to compete at the National Pageant held during Thanksgiving week in Anaheim, Calif.

At the pageant, she also received first runner up for thank you note, Spirit of America, state finalist and placed in the top 20 for the Miss Wisconsin title.

Quinn's activities include soccer, tennis, singing, playing the piano and reading.

All activities are age-appropriate and family-oriented. Pageants are held in each state for girls ages 4 to 18 in five different age divisions. Emphasis is placed on the importance of gaining self-confidence, learning new skills, learning good attitudes about competition and setting and achieving personal goals.
