FROM the Beauties of America Blog: KINDRED DAYS

Saturday, August 04, 2007

Every year, Kindred, North Dakota (population 579), celebrates "Kindred Days", marking a weekend of celebration , which begins with a parade.
Jo-Anna was very happy to participate in this year's festivities by entering the parade. This parade was unique in that the most common entry was "cars" - antique cars, classic cars, hot rods, corvettes, etc. So, Jo-Anna and BOA fit right in with her red hot ZRI corvette.
From the minute Jo-Anna arrived in Kindred, she seemed at home there and it was no wonder. The town's motto is "Kindred, where kindness is a way of life" while Jo-Anna's philosophy for her personal life is "Kindness is a language the deaf can hear and the blind can see".
There was no mystery as to why she and the people of Kindred took such a liking to each other!
