Kylie Williams made Florida history last weekend.

For the first time in 70 years, the winner of the Miss Florida Pageant is also the winner of Miss Tallahassee. Williams, who represented the capital city, competed against women across the state to take home the crown for Miss Florida.

She will also receive a $16,000 scholarship and more than $13,000 in prizes. Williams, 23, a senior marketing student at Florida State University, made her first guest appearance since being crowned as Miss Florida Saturday in St. Petersburg at the Tallahassee City Commission meeting Tuesday night.
