Top Television Celebrities To Take Stage As Hosts Of Miss Universe 2007

New York, NY (AHN) - Two of the most well-known American TV personalities, Vanessa Minnillo and Mario Lopez, have been announced as the hosts of the annual international beauty contest Miss Universe 2007. The duo will take the stage at the National Auditorium in Mexico City on May 28 when 77 beauty queens from all over the world walk down the competition aisle.

Vanessa Joy Minnillo, the former Miss Teen USA (1999), is well-known as the host of MTV's "Total Request Live" as well as the current New York-based correspondent for "Entertainment Tonight."

Mario Lopez has also made several televised appearances with the most noticeable being his portrayal of the character A.C. Slater on "Saved By The Bell."

Nine eminent on- and off-screen personalities will make the celebrity judge list including star of NBC's Golden Globe nominated hit drama "Heroes," James Kyson Lee; NBC's "Deal Or No Deal" spokesmodel Lindsay Clubine, professional athlete Tony Romo, guitarist Dave Navarro, celebrity hair stylist Ken Paves, New York fashion designer Marc Bouwer, fashion director of Elle magazine and judge on the Bravo reality television program "Project Runway," Nina Garcia; and last but not least former Miss Universe 1993 Dayanara Torres.

The pageant is run by the Miss Universe organization, which also owns and runs the Miss USA and Miss Teen USA beauty contests.

Based in New York, it is owned jointly by NBC Universal and Donald Trump.
