It's 60-plus pageants down, and just one more to go for Miss Oregon USA, Sharitha McKenzie.
After almost 10 years of competition, the 23-year-old University of Oregon senior says this is it.
A week from Friday, she has a single shot at becoming Miss USA: Contest rules for the beauty pageant owned by Donald Trump don't allow contestants more than one chance to vie for the crown, title and luxury accommodations at Trump's New York City mansion.
But even if she could make another run at the apex of American beauty, McKenzie - who has her eye on a career in broadcast journalism - says she's finished with the world of swimsuits and gowns.
