Shandi Finnessey, a 2004 Miss USA and first runner-up to Miss Universe, will be the key speaker at Allison's Friends of Hope third annual fund-raiser.
The event will be on Feb. 3 at the Sunset Hills Golf and Country Club in Edwardsville.
The fund-raiser is in honor of a former resident of Edwardsville, Allison Cassens, who tragically lost her life in 2004 to colon cancer at the age of 33.
In response, Allison's Friends of Hope has hosted a benefit, dinner and auction to raise money for cancer research in each of the last two years.
Last year, the Allison's Friends of Hope benefit raised $98,000.
