Thorpe competes

Meghan Thorpe of St. Marys, daughter of David and Shawny Thorpe, has been selected to participate in the 2007 Miss Georgia Teen USA Pageant, which will be held on Friday and Saturday, Nov. 10-11 in Newnan.

She will be competing as Miss Southeastern Georgia and will compete in swimsuit, evening gown and personal interview categories. The pageant has two age divisions.

The winners will go on to represent the state in the 2007 Miss USA and Miss Teen USA Pageant. Miss USA will go on to compete in the Miss Universe Pageant. As seen on NBC, the Miss Teen USA, Miss USA and Miss Universe Pageant system stresses good morals, physical fitness, communication skills, social awareness and community involvement.
