TOM KOENNINGER editor emeritus of The Columbian
Vancouver's Lois Elaine Smith-Zoll, a woman with an iron will and golden heart, is celebrating a milestone year her 40th with Miss Clark County, Miss Washington and Miss America pageants.
It's more than pageants. Her volunteer efforts, her voice and her donations have helped hundreds of people in this community and elsewhere.
