Pembroke resident and Miss USA fight breast cancer

Miss USA Tara Conner and New Balance Athletic Shoe, Inc. associate and Pembroke resident Mark McLaughlin participated in the unveiling of a 12-foot Pink Ribbon on Sept. 6. The event took place on the first floor lobby of New Balance Athletic Shoe, Inc. headquarters in Brighton.
The Pink Ribbon was relocated outside the New Balance building facing the Massachusetts Turnpike. The Pink Ribbon highlighted the Sept. 10 Boston Komen Race for the Cure event and October as Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
