The two-hour telecast will air live on CMT, Monday, January 29, 2007 at 8 p.m. ET/PT. “The Miss America Organization could not be happier to return to the host hotel, the Aladdin Resort & Casino, which exceeded our expectations in January with the debut of our Las Vegas show,” said McMaster. “We are thrilled that the city of Las Vegas has embraced our Organization again and our legendary Pageant. Last month, CMT announced an expanded programming strategy to support the 2007 MISS AMERICA PAGEANT, which includes some nine hours of television devoted to Miss America. This programming features a two-hour contestant special, which will air on CMT and its sister networks, VH1, MTV and Logo; a one-hour special on Miss America 2006, Jennifer Berry; a one-hour look at GREATEST MISS AMERICA MOMENTS; and Miss America features on the popular CMT TOP 20 COUNTDOWN and CMT INSIDER. The 2006 MISS AMERICA PAGEANT premiered on CMT last January and ranks as the most-watched telecast in CMT’s history with total viewers*.
