Jamie Wilson has gone from LSU law student to the official hostess of the state. While the transformation took place the moment she was crowned Miss Louisiana 2006, the journey to get there has taken much longer.

Wilson said she participated in her first pageant during her freshman year of high school.

"I did my first pageant with my three best friends in high school and loved it," Wilson said. "From there I went on to the teen division of Miss Louisiana for two years and then I competed in Miss Louisiana pageant for five years."
