IT’S BEEN 33 YEARS SINCE MARGARITA Moran won the country’s last Miss Universe crown. Lia Andrea Ramos said the Philippines has waited long enough.
During the Binibining Pilipinas Charities’ send-off party for her on Friday, Lian—our representative to the Miss U pageant this year—said she had “this gut feel” that she’d bring home the crown.
The pageant will be held on July 23 in Los Angeles, California, where, fortunately, her entire family is based. An immense amount of support from their Ilocano relatives also awaits her there, she said.
